Position disclosure: I hold a sealed Riftbound Radiance Booster Box and a sealed Disney Lorcana Hyperia City Booster Display, both discussed below.. Ratings are my opinion of each card's price, not an instruction to buy or personal financial advice. Prices come from the sources named, as of the time of writing.
The Big Story 📖
The biggest story is what happened to sealed prices after launch.
Riftbound's Radiance boxes peaked at a $238 during preorder on Sep 28 and are $121 on TCGplayer as of Nov 2, almost back to MSRP at $119.99.
Lorcana's Hyperia City box sold for $131.95 on TCGplayer on Oct 31, below its $143.76 MSRP and far under the roughly $253 preorder asking price in August. Also, these are two great examples of why I'd wait a few weeks to avoid paying a premium for preorder hype, and I'd do the same with Magic's upcoming Star Trek set on Nov 13.
Magic: The Gathering
Star Trek dates are set, supply is shaky. Prerelease runs Nov 6 to 12 and release is Nov 13 per Wizards' event page. Star Trek Commander Decks are delayed in North America with no new date (ICv2, Oct 19).
Chase treatments are Collector Booster only. Actor-autographed cards are limited to 250 copies each, and the Surge foil Enterprise cards are in Collector Boosters only (ICv2, Oct 20).
More reprints are coming. The Star Trek Secret Lair Superdrop was announced Oct 28: five drops at $39.99 foil or $29.99 non-foil, preorders open Nov 9.
Marvel Countdown Kit Secret Lair opened Nov 2. It is a 30-card kit at $199.99.
Banlist is quiet. No paper changes on Oct 12, and the next announcement is Nov 30. The Hobbit had no news this week.
Disney Lorcana
Hyperia City boxes have settled near MSRP. Sold listings on TCGplayer went from $174.47 on Oct 16 to $150.00 on Oct 21 and Oct 26, then $131.95 on Oct 31 (PriceCharting). The lowest TCGplayer listing was $140 on Nov 2. Volume is only about 3 sales a week, so this is a thin market.
Enchanted singles. Ariel, Collector of Oddities, Enchanted #236/204 was $381.85. Belle, Exceptional Writer, Enchanted was about $250, Max Goof, Karaoke Star, Enchanted about $235, and Aurora, Delightful Musician, Enchanted $198.71. These are TCGplayer market references as of Oct 31 to Nov 1 (tryhoard, Lorcana Card List). Compared with Oct 25 TCGplayer market prices (Shonen TCG, Oct 27), Ariel is down about 4% from $396.48, Belle down about 13% from $287.15, and Max Goof down about 6% from $251.28. Aurora is up about 8% from $184.62, the only riser. The two price sets come from different sites, so treat the moves as approximate.
D23 Collection raffle. The 2026 D23 Collection 99.99$, and the Winnie the Pooh, Hunny Wizard Premium Foil Playmat 49.99$ were sold by random draw through EQL. Entries ran from Oct 31 to Nov 1 at 9 PM ET, and winners get emails starting Nov 4. Shipping is limited to the US, UK, and EU, with delivery 2 to 3 weeks after notification and no restock (Lorcana.gg, Oct 19).
Into the Inkdark is open for preorder. Preorders started Oct 23 with an expected Feb 12, 2027 release (ICv2). It is the first set with serialized Illustrious cards, six per set at 23 copies each per the D23 recap. A reported $35 Collector Booster price is not confirmed by the publisher.
What to watch. London Challenge runs Nov 13 to 15.
Riftbound
Radiance box fell fast. The 24-pack box was $238 at the Sep 28 preorder peak and $121 for the lowest TCGplayer listing on Nov 2, almost at $119.99 MSRP.
Riven is the deck to beat. Riven was 12.6% of the field at the 755-player Sacramento Showdown on Oct 26 and 4 of the Top 8. At Orlando (Oct 31 to Nov 1) it was 16.4% of the field. Riot's last ban update was Sep 18.
Next set. Legacy releases Jan 29, 2027 with Pre-Rift Jan 22 to 28, per Riftbound Zone citing Riot. There are rumors of Leaked Legacy accessories.
The cross-game read
Launch-month premiums are deflating in both Lorcana and Riftbound games.
The boxes settled near MSRP within three weeks of release.
Magic's next test is Star Trek, which is reprint-heavy and has a Secret Lair Superdrop on top of that. I think the lesson is to wait for the post-launch price instead of chasing the preorder.
On my radar 📡
1. Riftbound: Radiance Booster Box (24 packs, sealed)
About $121 for the lowest TCGplayer listing as of Nov 2, against a $119.99 MSRP and a $238 preorder peak. Some US retailers list it lower, from $114.99 as of Nov 3 (TCGCompare).
Catalyst: Radiance tournament play and the Worlds run-up could keep demand steady, and Legacy is not out until Jan 29, 2027.
Bear case: I found no print-run figures, and supply could be larger than the market assumes.
What would change my mind: a confirmed large reprint or a continued slide below MSRP.
Owned: YES (bought at MSRP) / Rating: WATCH / Conviction: 4/10 / Risk: High / Target entry: MSRP ($119.99). At my target, but I'm not adding. / Time horizon: 1-3 years
2. Disney Lorcana: Hyperia City Booster Display (24 packs, sealed)
About $131.95 on TCGplayer (Oct 31 sold listing, PriceCharting), against a $143.76 MSRP. The lowest TCGplayer listing was $140 on Nov 2. The market is thin at about 3 sales a week.
Catalyst: Into the Inkdark preorders may pull attention to older sealed, though that cuts both ways.
Bear case: the box sits at or below MSRP, and thin volume makes the price noisy.
What would change my mind: the price stabilizing for a few weeks with more sales per week.
Owned: YES (bought at $140) / Rating: WATCH / Conviction: 4/10 / Risk: High / Target entry: MSRP ($143.76). At my target, but I'm not adding. / Time horizon: 1-3 years

Because it is limited to those stores, the set is selling on secondary markets. The lowest TCGplayer listing was $184 on Nov 2, and prices run roughly $175 to $225 across TCGplayer and PriceCharting, as of the time of writing.
What I'm buying and holding
I'm holding two sealed boxes.
The first is a Riftbound Radiance Booster Box, bought at its $119.99 MSRP.
The second is a Disney Lorcana Hyperia City Booster Display, bought for $140.
The Pack Portfolio Call 🎯
Magic: Cautious. WATCH. Star Trek is reprint-heavy and has a Superdrop on top, so I'm waiting to see post-launch prices before buying sealed.
Lorcana: Neutral. HOLD my Hyperia City box. It's trading around what I paid, so I'm not adding until the price steadies.
Riftbound: Neutral. HOLD my Radiance box. I'm sticking to sealed while I learn the game.
